Mike Gifford is an artist and photographer living and working in Sydney Australia.

Mike Gifford studied art, photography and film making, at East Sydney Technical
college, and fine arts, philosophy and psychology at Sydney University. He has
worked for government agencies, such as the State Emergency Services. Where he
traveled widely as documentary photographer and film maker, producing documentary
films on natural disasters, as well as training films for personnel. Mike has
done freelance photography for publications such as Time Magazine. He has worked
as a lecturer in photography and film production, at the University of Technology
Sydney, Where he also tutored in visual communication. He was a co-founder of
The Inhibodress art gallery in Sydney, where many avant-garde photographers,
film, video and conceptual artists were first able to show their work. Mike
Gifford’s personal art, including photography, photomontage prints,
painting and sculpture, has been exhibited in galleries throughout Sydney,
in both one person and group exhibitions. And is represented in many private
collections.
